INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITIES
Divemaster & PADI Instructor
Assignment-based work with Portsmouth Scuba
Portsmouth Scuba works with independent dive professionals on an assignment-by-assignment basis. These are independent contractor relationships, not employment. You decide which assignments to sign up for, and there is no minimum.
How assignments work
- Schedule release: Once you are approved, you receive the available assignment schedule and can sign up for the assignments you qualify for.
- Annual agreement: Contractors sign the Portsmouth Scuba Independent Contractor Agreement each year. Once signed, it is valid for the rest of that calendar year, through December 31, and is renewed every year.
- No guarantee of ongoing work: Previous assignments do not guarantee future or ongoing work. Past work on a course, dive, charter, or recurring day gives no right or priority to future assignments unless that specific assignment is confirmed in writing.
- Confirmed in writing: The details and compensation for each assignment are confirmed in writing before you accept it.
- Skill verification: Portsmouth Scuba will verify your skill level. Poor performance can end the agreement at any time.
